The other pieces I was commisioned to make where all made from English Oak.
A communion table, a book display cabinet and a lecturn.

The Guild of Guardians presented me with the Alfred Telling award in June 2008. This is a bursary to an entrepreneur starting their own business in a manual trade.
I received the award from The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Christopher Davies.
The Guild of Guardians help with the maintenance of The Lord Mayors Chapel, College Green, Bristol. I met with the verger of the chapel and was commissioned to create four pieces. There was a limited budget and the pieces had to be of similar price to the ones available through catalogues.
I was commissioned to make a hymn book trolley (pictured) this was a fantastic piece, as I knew it would be in regular use and in a prominent position at the entrance to the chapel.
It was a privilege to be able to work for the Lord Mayors Chapel the history and age of the place is inspiring. In the design of each piece I wanted them to be still there and doing their job in 200 years time.
This photo was taken when the work was handed over to the chapel in 2009.
Thanks to Marek (the verger) for all his help and his fantastic baking.
The chapel is a marvellous building and well worth a visit if you are ever in the center of Bristol.
