English Cherry with clients own English Sycamore Bedside tables
This pair of bedside tables where commissioned by a client who wanted a simple solution to their bedside problem.
They required a drawer for storage and a low shelf to. They wanted uninterrupted sides to their piece, and no obvious handle or knob to the drawer.
Whilst creating the piece the clients asked if I could use some of their English Sycamore. This timber had been planked from a tree that was felled in their garden. I was able to use this timber for the shelf. And was a great personal addition for the client.

A great commission of a simple but beautiful piece. The clients popped into the workshop and told me their ideas and what they wanted the piece to be. I straight away thought this piece of English Yew, I had in my stock and it fitted the brief exactly.
The waney edge top is complimented by the English Oak legs.
