Handmade beds

Bespoke beds handmade to your individual requirements. Using timber sourced from sustainable woodlands, within 50 miles of Bristol, each bed is unique due to the different characteristics of timber.
All beds are delivered and assembled in the local area.

English oak "king size" bed This bed sits low. Slatted head-board, all slats are lap jointed to the uprights. The length rails are fixed using "L" brackets and coach screws. The length rails and the foot-board sit level, allowing the mattress to sit on top. Finished with Danish oil. The first picture shows the head-board in cramps whilst being glued up. The second picture shows the mortise and tenon joint used in the foot-board.

Cherry "super king size" bed Waney edge (sawn timber with its natural (bark) edge intact) English Cherry has been used. Slatted head-board and low foot-board. All joints are mortise and tenons. Knock down rail supports. Finished with Danish oil.

English Elm "King Size" bed The waney edge Elm creates a fantastic headboard. The headboard and footboard are connected to the uprights with mortise and tenon joints. Knock down fittings are used on the length rails. The finish is Danish oil.
