Audrey commissioned us to produce and fit simple, beautiful cupboards and floating shelves for the alcoves in her living room, along with a matching set of bookshelves. The lower cupboards were designed to house logs and to hide AV equipment, cables and plugs, while the log cupboard features a bifolding door to give easy access when feeding the wood burning stove.

Because Audrey was completely refurbishing her open plan 1920s house, it was important for us to work with materials that would complement the setting. Handmade using beautiful English oak, each piece was chosen by hand to find the best grain.

Style: Traditional
Materials: English oak
Other details: Bifold door and hidden AV equipment

I can’t recommend Jim highly enough. I took on a complete refurb of a 1920s house two years ago. Jim made my kitchen, helping me with the design and layout, and all the time listening to what I needed for my own particular needs and my budget. He worked with the constraints of the space, always paying attention to detail, and the end result was beyond brilliant. Jim then made a fitted bookcase and a set of alcove cupboards and shelves with beautiful, carefully chosen oak – and everyone notices and comments on them. They are amazing! Jim is quite simply a masterful craftsman with a genuine love of transforming beautiful wood into stunning furniture. His skill, ingenuity and eye for detail means you can trust him with your project, your home, your money. You will be very pleased you did.
