We’re Jim and Jo of Jim Sharples Furniture. We design and make bespoke furniture from our workshop in Hambrook, Bristol. We take your privacy seriously and only collect the information we need to respond to enquiries, run your project and keep business records.

Information we collect
When you contact us, request a quote or work with us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your address (for surveys, deliveries and installation)
• Details about your home and the space we’re designing for (measurements, photos and drawings)

How we use your information
We use this information to:

• Respond to enquiries
• Prepare drawings, quotes and invoices
• Arrange deliveries and installation
• Keep project records for future reference (for example, matching furniture or replacement parts)

We may also contact you occasionally with updates, but only if you have chosen to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Our legal basis for using your data

• Legitimate interest: communicating with you and carrying out the work you ask us to do.
• Consent: if you choose to join our mailing list.

Storing your information
Your details may be stored in:

• Our email system
• Our accounting software
• Password-protected project folders stored in OneDrive or on our devices

We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. This data is anonymous and does not identify you personally.

Only we (Jim and Jo) have access.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to, or we are required to by law.

Photographs
We often photograph completed work for our portfolio.
We will always confirm with you before sharing any images of your home.

How long we keep information

• Enquiry details (if no project goes ahead): up to 2 years.
• For completed projects, we keep drawings and notes long term so we can support future work and reference previous designs.
• Personal contact details are kept only as long as needed for the project and for legal accounting purposes.

Your rights
You can ask to:

• See the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it (where possible)
