Bespoke Bookcase and desk, Portishead
Office furniture in Bristol: A handmade bookcase, a bespoke wardrobe and an oak desk with cabinets with drawers for storage.
These clients wanted us to transform their small spare bedroom into useful storage and a desk for working from home. Working from the kitchen table wasn’t working well for them and they wanted a nice desk to work from.
Living in a modern apartment they lacked storage and wanted a wardrobe to put all the extras, like luggage and coats. And they had a pretty impressive collection of lonely planet guides and lovely items from their travels that needed to be displayed as well.
Being truly bespoke means we can design the project for them, looking at their space and their wishes and start with a blank page. They chose a gorgeous sage colour from Little Greene. Little Greene make very good paint for furniture, we love painting with the intelligent eggshell. They are a very responsible company; all their paints are made to high eco standards and made here in the uk.

Just wanted to say how absolutely thrilled we are with our new shelving project. We have spent the last half an hour just gazing at it and planning what is going to go where. We have never seen or owned anything on this scale before in terms of quality and workmanship. I am sure we don’t need to tell you this but it really is beautifully crafted and visually stunning. We are excited to arrange our books and special pieces but are going to take our time and enjoy it. Thank you to Jo for sorting things out for us also and linking everything up.
