Crafted meticulously from specially veneered oak, each piece showcases a flowing grain that extends gracefully through every drawer, creating a harmonious and elegant visual ‘japandi’ effect.

  • Specially Veneered Oak: Our oak for this kitchen is selected and veneered with precision to highlight a flowing grain that flows up through each drawer front or door, adding a touch of natural artistry to the kitchen – it is such a delight to see this like pattern matching with fabric – but with wood!
  • Bespoke Recessed Finger Pull Handles: Thoughtfully designed recessed handles offer a sleek and modern touch, we made each handles ourselves and fixed a solid oak back plate behind each one. This allowed the beauty of the wood to remain uninterrupted.
  • Solid Oak Dovetailed Drawers: This japandi style kitchen features a total of 19 solid oak dovetailed drawers, we use Blum Movento full extension soft close runners so each drawer glides out and ina nd comes with a lifetime guarantee. Each drawer is constructed with traditional joinery techniques to ensure longevity and robustness – and w.
  • Integrated Appliances: The kitchen seamlessly integrates modern conveniences with an integrated fridge and freezer, as well as dishwashers and bin drawers, maintaining the clean lines and cohesive look of the space. The clients used John Lewis as the supplier for their appliances and went for Bosch. 
  • Docking Drawer for Devices: Keep your family’s gadgets organised and charged with a dedicated docking drawer, perfect for phones, iPads, and other electronic devices – this was a dream to install and we higly recoomend these!
  • Bespoke Drawer Inserts and Magnetic Knife Drawer: Custom-made solid oak drawer inserts provide tailored storage for each drawer, the clienst selected what they wanted in each. We made a bespoke magnetic knife drawer to keep the knives safe and organised and within easy reach.
  • Drawers within Drawers: Maximise your storage options with cleverly designed internal drawers, providing additional space without compromising the sleek exterior.
  • Hand-Finished with Osmo Oil: The entire kitchen is lovingly finished by hand using Osmo top oil, enhancing the natural beauty of the oak while offering lasting protection. We roduced a few different finished options for the clients to choose from – and we are really happy with how the finish turned out.
  • Sustainable Birch Plywood Cabinetry: The cabinetry is hand-made from birch plywood, a long-lasting and sustainable choice that ensures your kitchen remains sturdy and eco-friendly. We finish the cabinets in 3 coats of Bona Mega with sanding between each coat to achieve the smoothest long lasting results. A lengthly process but we feel these ldetails make all the difference.
